Bimbo Canada seeks to grow value-added bakery segments and expanding into new product categories and channels of distribution. Bimbo Canada employs approximately 4,300 associates across Canada and distributes its products through a DSD network of more than 1,000 routes operated by franchisees and distributors.


POSITION SUMMARY:


In this newly created position as the Vice President, Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales and go to market strategies to drive profitable revenue growth and transformational change while deepening relationships with key retail partners and motivating the sales team to achieve new heights of success. As a key strategist, consumer-centric thinker, and key member of the executive team, you will collaborate closely with leaders in other functions locally and across the global organization to achieve overall business objectives and contribute to the long-term success of the company.


KEY PRIORITIES INCLUDE:


Developing Profitable, Sustainable Sales Strategies

Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial growth strategy aligned with the company's overall vision and objectives. Analyze market trends, go to market models, competitor activities and consumer behavior to identify new business opportunities and potential risks to creating a sustainable and competitive advantage. Develop and execute revenue growth strategies, including pricing, store level execution, and sales initiatives to achieve financial targets, higher point of sales saturation and increase market share.



Being Passionate about Key Account Management

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and other stakeholders. Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships to enhance product placement and visibility. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and the competitive landscape. Conduct market analysis and competitor research to inform business decisions and adjust strategies accordingly.


Leading the Business through Transformational Change that Delights Customers

Utilize strategic agility to capitalize on the significant changes happening in the industry and implement transformational change initiatives that align with strategic objectives and cause minimal disruption to day-to-day operations. Understand customer needs and market dynamics and tailor sales and go to market model strategies to address the unique and ever-changing environment. Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention.


Collaborating Cross-functionally

Work closely with other senior executives, including finance, marketing, operations, supply chain and product development – both within Canada and globally – to ensure effective execution of sales strategies.


Managing Talent with a Long-Term Vision

Build a high-performing team at multiple levels. Define succession plans for key roles. Provide coaching, mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities for team members to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets and capitalize on their full potential as individuals. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales organization.


Establishing Yourself as an Important Member of the President’s Executive Team

You will be an integral and valued colleague/member of the Canadian executive team. The Canadian business is known for its collaborative, supportive, people-first culture and you will need to be seen as providing outstanding leadership and genuine business partnership to other members of the team.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:


Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. An MBA/EMBA or advanced degree is preferred.


Proven track record of at least 15 years of experience in progressively responsible senior commercial leadership roles with demonstrated success in implementing successful sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and achieving business objectives.

Significant transformational change expertise.

Must have grocery industry or other relevant food industry experience.

French and/or Spanish language capability would be an asset.
